FAQs

  • All images are printed onto Hahnemühle Photo Rag Pearl 320gsm.

This fine art paper has a soft sheen and a subtle texture – just enough that you can tell at a glance that it’s a special paper but not so much that it takes over the image. Similarly, the sheen is not a high gloss but still allows the image to be presented with beautiful depth and richness.

  • The size listed in the store is for the image itself. In addition to the listed image size, there will be a handling border unless specifically requested otherwise.

  • Treat a giclée print the same as you would handle an artwork – don’t touch the surface of the print with fingers as the oils from your hands will leave finger prints. When moving the prints, leave them rolled and protected from dents, kinks and scratches. It is recommended that you only use the supplied packaging for storage, as this is acid free and will help retain the archival nature of this fine art product.

  • The paper and inks used to create this giclée print are both lightfast and archival, and have been Blue-wool tested to last for 100+ years before fading when stored in good conditions. This can be helped by framing with UV protected glass and ensuring that all materials used for framing or storage are acid free and suitable for conservation.

  • No. Rather than shipping a framed piece behind glass and risking it arriving damaged, it is recommended that you look for a professional framer to complete the finishing in a manner that suits your home decor. To find a reputable framer that is local to you, I would suggest contacting the Fine Art Trade Guild.
